Jess opened the big wooden door that lead to the dorms, she went into the dorms regularly, just to see how people where, and hopefully to meet new people. She walked curiously up the staircase, to where the dorms where. She looked around, it all quiet, she popped her head around a few room doors. where is everyone she thought to herself.

Sitting quietly in the corner of her room was Angel. It was easy to miss her, she was hidden by shadows. The whole room was dark though. She made no movement, so if you didn't know she was there, you wouldn't notice. The curtains were closed and the light off. Tears slowly ran down her cheeks. She made no attempt to hide her tears like she normally did. She didn't think anyone would notice her. Her blonde hair hung lifelessly around her shoulders and her eyes distant. As if she wasn't there. A part from the tears, Angel just looked like any of the other girls around. But she wasn't. No one knew her past, or really cared. It was always the same. She got dumped somewhere and was just left there. Her parents both dead, she with a burn across her chest and shoulder, always wearing jumpers so no one would see.

Hi She said soflty Are you okay Jess' eyes where full of worry and concern. She realised the girl looked around her age. But Jess wasn't thinking about that, she was thinking about why this girl would be sat in the norner. She was really worried about her

At first, Angel didn't notice her, nor really hear her. Soon noticing someone standig near her, she jumped, looked up, then looked away. She didn't know what to do, so she pressed herself into the corner more. Unsure of herself, she kept her eyes on the floor. The room was hot, probebly from being closed up all day, and she wore a jumper which came up around her neck. She was untrusting of human's, unles she knew them very well. This was the first person she had met, and she didn't trust anyone here. Not after what happened at the last place she went riding. Horses she trusted, people she didn't. She had a bond with them that could never be broken.

Jess was confused about the girls strange behaviour, she spoke abit louder Hi, who are you and are you alright again her eyes and face full of concern. She decided to sit down infront of the girl. Jess had a small soft smile on her face, in hope to cheer up the girl. Jess touched the girls arm with a gentle touch

Angel ignored her words, never once looking at her. As she felt her touch, she pulled away quickly. She had always hated people touching her, ever since she was little. She had good reasons though. She had many fears, and many reasons. Had had told no one of what had happened, how she felt, why she was the way she was, or really anything. She didn't speak much. She was normally shouting, but the fire which had killed her parents and burnt her had left her shatterd. On the inside and on the out. This girl, the girl who was sitting in front of her, was probebly her age, yet was confedent and out going. It was all too much for Angel at the moment. Not knowing what else to do, she stood up and fled from the room. Her hair flying behind her. She made nosies or someone crying, but it was hard to tell if she was crying, she could had just been making stupid sounds. Her speed had never failed her before, and it didn't fail her now. She ran from the room, the building, and into the outside world.

Jess stood up in shock, her mouth open. Never before had her kindness been rejected in sucha form. Jess ran after the girl, she couldn't just leave her alone. Incase she did anything stupid, as Jess ran she though about why the girl had rejected her. She was baffled in thoughts as she picked up the pace in hope to catch thegirl up. Jess was quite fast at running, ahe had participated in her private school athletics team.

Angel had always been the fastest everywhere she went. It was strange to have a rival. She ran full speed, something she didn't often do. Running straight for the woods where the trails were located. Not knowing what she was doing, she entered the woods. Her knowlage of this area was very basic. She didn't know where she was going. She was light, adgile, and fast. She didn't often do cross-country running like this. No, that wasn't true. She ALWAYS did this. She could jump over or duck under any obstical in her path. A head was a small embankment. She jumped down it, but then dispeared completely with a small scream. From the size of the embankment, the girl behind should have been able to see her from the waist up, but Angel had completely disapeared.

Jess saw the girl run into the woods. She continued running at the pace she was at *which was quite fast*. As she followed the girl into the woods she saw her fall into the ditch. Jess squeeled in fright when she realised the girl didn't get back yp. Jess picked up the pace, pushing herself the to the limit, she reached the ditch in seconds puffing and panting

Angel was completely out of sight. There was completely no sign of her. There was a sudden scream and a bit of splashing. HELP! Angel cried. She had fallen into a well that she hadn't noticed. It was more just a whole in the ground, but a well all the same. Angel was not a swimmer. Although knowing the very basics, she would be able to save herself for a short time, but not for long. She was coughing, and partly blinded by the water. The well was deep and black. Somehow she found the stone edge and held on, her finger tips only just being able to get a grip on the slimmy rock wall. She called again for help. Her head and shoulers were only just out of the water. She couldn't touch the bottom and was kind of glad. Who knew what was down there.

Unable to see anything but a circle of light and the dark shape of a human, she called out in a panic stricken voice. Help me! She cried. Her voice was childish, making her seem younger than she was. She was soaked and couldn't hold on much longer. I can hold on. Help me! She said again. She didn't know if this was the same girl or not, or even if she would help her. Her sobs would be unheard from where the girl was, but her coughing wasn't. Her finger's gave way and she slipped back under the icy water with a gasp. She managed to somehow get above to water and cling onto the wall again.

Jess looked around looking for something long enough she could use to pull up the girl. Then she though Stay there..i'll be back in a minute JEss ran as fast as she could beck to the stables, and grabbed 3 of their strongest lunge lines, she rushed back to the well. As she reached the well she skidded to a stop. Hello? I'm back She called down the well hoping the girl was still alive, and okay, well as okay as she could be, being trapped down a well.
